Lo Writers Guild of America Award, più noto come WGA Award, è un premio nato nel 1949, che viene assegnato ogni anno a quei lavori che hanno dato un contributo speciale in campo cinematografico, televisivo e radiofonico dagli Writers Guild of America West e Writers Guild of America East, ovvero gli sceneggiatori appartenenti al sindacato.
Negli anni precedenti questo premio se lo sono aggiudicati film come ‘Paradiso Amato’ di Alexander Payne, ‘Midnight in Paris’ di Woody Allen e ‘The social Network’ pellicole che poi sono risultate vincitrici agli Oscar.
